When attempting to run Jobs in JAMS, users may encounter the following error:
Failure when creating batch process
Unable to Logon User
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer
So, why does this happen?
This error occurs when "Log on as a batch job" privileges are not configured properly for the user account attempting to run JAMS Jobs. These privileges are needed to run JAMS Jobs.
Resolve this issue
To resolve this issue, Log on as a batch job must be configured for the user account running the JAMS Jobs. This can be done using Windows, or on Member Servers and Workstations.
NOTE: If the Job is running on an Agent, users must also have Log on as a batch job privileges within the local security of the agent machine.
Grant Log on as a batch job rights using windows
Use the Local Security Policy or Domain Security Policy administrator utilities to grant Log on as a batch job rights at the domain or the local level for the user running JAMS Jobs. The screenshot below shows the Local Security Policy administrator utility.
