JAMS Agents communicate on port 77 for Windows and OpenVMS, and port 22 utilizing SSH for Unix based operating systems.  

SSH is standard SSH protocol encryption, and for Windows JAMS uses Windows Data Protection API to communicate on an encrypted channel.  

For Windows agents, JAMS also will authenticate encrypted to Active Directory, or locally using standard Windows authentication methods.

Users are not tied down to using these specific ports, a user can customize the ports that are utilized as well.
